Hull City
Newcastle United to win

Newcastle's unbeaten opening and stronger attacking output make them the likelier side to find a narrow home win.
Newcastle United are the deserved lean at St. James' Park, but Hull City have made a seriously tidy start of their own. Newcastle are unbeaten through three league games and have scored six times, while Hull arrive unbeaten with two wins, a draw and three clean sheets. I'm backing Newcastle to win 2-1, with both teams capable of contributing. Here's why this one looks closer than the home price first suggests.
Here's the thing: Newcastle have started this Premier League campaign without a defeat, and there is proper substance in those first three results. They drew 2-2 with Bournemouth, won 2-0 at Tottenham and then shared another 2-2 with Liverpool. Six goals in three games is a strong attacking return, while their last five supplied results also include a 3-1 win over West Ham. For me, that gives the home side the more convincing route to three points, especially with the 1X2 market making them clear favourites at 1.50.
Hull deserve plenty of respect, though. Their first three league matches have delivered seven points and no goals conceded: a 2-0 win over Manchester United, a 1-0 victory at Coventry and a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa. That tells you something about their ability to stay in games, and it is the main reason I'm not fully sold on a comfortable Newcastle result. Still, Hull have scored only three times across that run, whereas Newcastle have already been involved in two 2-2 matches.
I think Newcastle's goal threat eventually breaks through, but Hull's opening defensive record makes a one-sided call less appealing. A 2-1 home win is my plausible score it respects Hull's unbeaten start while siding with Newcastle's stronger attacking output and the market's clear preference for the hosts. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals fit that read, although each comes with obvious resistance from Hull's clean-sheet run.
Newcastle United to edge Hull City in a competitive game at St. James' Park.
