Everton
Draw

Everton's unbeaten start and Tottenham's early attacking struggles make the draw the most appealing 1X2 angle.
Here's the thing: Tottenham are favourites at home, but the opening three league games point in a very different direction. Spurs have one point and are yet to score, while Everton arrive unbeaten with five points from three matches. My Tottenham vs Everton prediction is a draw, with a 1-1 scoreline the most plausible lean. The market has a clear favourite, but the form makes this one worth digging into.
Tottenham's price of 2.06 says the home side remain the market's preferred outcome, but I'm not fully sold on that given what the early table shows. Spurs sit 17th after three matches, with one point, zero goals scored and five conceded. Their latest game was a goalless draw at Nottingham Forest, following a 2-0 home loss to Newcastle and a 3-0 defeat at Brentford. There is no need to overcomplicate it: Tottenham need to find a goal before they can be trusted as a short home favourite.
Everton have made the steadier start. They are eighth with five points, unbeaten after a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and draws against Bournemouth and Manchester United. The 2-2 draw with United especially underlines that Everton have been capable of contributing at the attacking end, while their three games have produced five goals for and three against. I can see them making this competitive rather than simply protecting a point.
I still respect Tottenham's home status, and they did beat Everton 1-0 in this venue in May. That result is part of why I would not make an away win the main call. But Everton's current return is stronger, while Spurs' three-game scoring drought is difficult to ignore. For me, the draw is the balanced 1X2 position. Both teams to score is a more speculative supporting angle, and under 2.5 goals matches the 1-1 score lean.
Everton can take a point from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a closely contested draw.
